Best Western Plus Stoke on Trent Hanley Moat House Hotel
Location
Information technology's a mile (2km) from the main shopping centre (in Hanley), two miles (3km) from Stoke-on-Trent railway station and around seven (11km) from the M6, so is popular with business folk during the week. Information technology opened in 1991 in Festival Park, on the landscaped site of the 1986 National Garden Festival. At that place'south plenty of traffic hurtling past the front gates, but inside yous're hardly aware of it.
Manner and Character
From outside, information technology may look mildly monolithic, but it incorporates part of gracious Etruria Hall, Josiah Wedgwood's family home – now tastefully converted into an events and meetings centre and wedding venue. The hotel décor is smart-modern and the spacious public areas have a relaxing atmosphere. Information technology'southward a very agreeable place.

Executive rooms accept docking stations. Lighting offers both bright and atmospherically subdued, and good-sized bathrooms (with showers in the baths) are well-lit. Everything is immaculately make clean.
Food and Drinkable
The convivial bar-lounge has a varied and unpretentious carte (pizzas, pasta, burgers, sandwiches and paninis, a "superfood" salad: mostly £8 to £xiii). The adjoining large eatery replicates some of the dishes at the same prices and adds steaks and curries. There's besides a iii-course set menu at £25. Enough of buzz, which doesn't seem to distract the business folk from their iPads. Char-grilled salmon was satisfying, with a hearty basin of veg.
Breakfast is excellent – an extensive buffet, including fresh fruit and cooked meals, and a table menu running to Staffordshire oatcakes (oatmeal-based savoury pancakes: succulent but significantly filling).
